Nordstrom has made a few changes to the Sale to make a better shopping experience for their customers, like there will be shorter early access phases to allow the public sale go longer and have more access. The Catalog is available earlier than ever before. There will be 7 days before early access, that way you add items earlier to your Wishlist.
1. SET A BUDGET
This is so important, otherwise we end spending more money than expected. Setting a budget will keep you focus and realistic on your purchases. You do not have to buy everything just because it is on sale! Just buy what you really need taking advantage of the sale.
2. MAKE AN INVENTORY LIST
An inventory list is a complete listing of what you already have. The inventory list shows you exactly what you have available. Based on your inventory list now you know exactly what to buy and which items you should be looking at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale to take advantage of it and save big!
3. MAKE A HOLIDAY SHOPPING LIST
Once you know exactly what you have, then proceed with your holiday shopping list. It is like a grocery store list; you plan your purchases in advance and will help you to keep focus on the items that you really need. At the end your wallet will thank you and it will make you feel good. Remember that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has something for everybody. Do not forget to stack up for upcoming holidays gifts like Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
4. PREVIEW THE SALE AND ADD ITEMS TO YOUR WISHLIST
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in 2025 will take place from July 12–August 3. Nordstrom cardmembers can shop early from July 8–11, depending on their Nordy Club status. Depending on how much you have spent on Nordstrom using your credit card, you are assigned a card member level and that will determine the date you will have access to the sale. Otherwise, if you do not have a Nordstrom credit card you need to wait until the sale opens to the Everyone.
How to check your Nordstrom card member status?
To check your Nordstrom card member level online, log in to your Nordstrom Card Services account on the Nordstrom website (nordstromcard.com) where you can view your Nordy Club membership details, including your current tier level; you can also access this information through the Nordstrom app or by calling Nordstrom customer service.
5. BUY ONLINE INSTEAD GOING TO THE STORE
It so much convenient to buy online instead of the store, you won’t need to deal with long lines and long walks. Buying online is easier to go through all the inventory. Tip: If you can go to the store when the Preview sale is on and check the items personally so you can get an idea of how the items look in person, feel the fabric, check the quality, etc. Once you have a nice feeling of how the items look and feel, then you will have more confidence to just add the items to your Wishlist and check out your cart as soon is possible when the sale goes live.
6. BUY NOW RETURN LATER
Take advantage of Nordstrom return policy. Buy now and return later. This gives you the opportunity to take advantage of the discounts and to secure the sizes and colors that you need. You might see some re-stocks from returns, but based on my experience from last year, brands only have certain number of inventory and once is gone is gone.
