Having a wardrobe that is based on classic and neutral pieces is essential to keep wearing the same clothes year after year. That is why is so important to buy classic and high quality pieces that will last you forever. Building a timeless capsule wardrobe will help you to choose the pieces of your outfits wisely and quickly that for sure your wallet will appreciate.
I have rounded up to 10 key staple pieces that I will be re-wearing this Autumn/Winter 2023. I own all these pieces and trust me if I am taking them into consideration for this post is because I literally can not wait to wear them again this season.
1. TRENCH COAT
The trench coat is a must especially when you are transitioning from Summer to Fall. Here in San Diego, summer is still going strong but eventually days will cool off and nights will be chilly, that is when the trench coat spring into action. I have 2 trench coats at the moment, the first one is a Sam Edelman that I got a couple years ago as part of a Nordstrom Anniversary sale and the second one is this one from Banana Republic Factory that is really well made.

2. TURTLENECK
Just stocked up on a couple of these again to wear this season. These turtlenecks made of pima cotton from Everlane are so soft and incredible comfortable. Wear it on its own or under a sweater or shirts for extra warmth.
3. CASHMERE STRIPED SWEATER
Striped sweaters came back to stay, or should I say, they never went away (?). Anyway, I will be wearing my Reformation cashmere striped sweater this season; mine is size S and it has an oversized design. This has became one staple in my closet and for sure I will be wearing it in the future.
4. CASHMERE SWEATERS
I need to confess that the Emma Sweater by Club Monaco has become a staple in my closet. I have all the colors and my favorite ones are the black and the ivory. These sweaters are so versatile that can be worn with jeans, trousers or any type of bottoms. Mine are sizes XS and S. Definitely a sweater that I highly recommend.
5. ALL SAINTS LEATHER JACKET
I got my All Saints Leather Jacket last year as part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, since then I have been wearing it like a crazy woman. Yeah, I was so sad when I started feeling hot in Summer, but guess what, it is Fall again and this baby will see the light again. I recommend to size up if you want to wear chunky sweaters underneath this jacket.
6. BLACK BLAZER
I have been wearing this blazer since I got it. This blazer is from Everlane. It is oversized but please do not under estimate it, this baby will give the professional and classy look to any of your outfits. I own the camel color as well, my size is 0.
6. CAMEL BLAZER
Ok, to be fear, I just got this camel blazer by Everlane a couple months ago, but I know that this one will be an essential in my closet. I am obsessed with camel color and this blazer is so cool and elegant at the same time.
7. CAMEL TROUSERS
These camel trousers by Everlane are just the perfect addition to your wardrobe. I love the pleats at the front and I love that can be worn formal or casual. Mine are size 2, inseam 32″.
8. WHITE LEATHER SNEAKERS
When it comes to sneakers I do not have just one favorite pair. Some of my favorites are : the New Balance 550, the Re Leather White Sneaker by Everlane, the campo sneakers by Veja and the Adidas cloudfoam court.
9. LEATHER ANKLE BOOTS
Time to wear boots again!, well, I wear boots all year around to be honest. I own these Italian leather ones from Everlane and OMG, they are comfortable, comfortable. They are true to size but size up if you are planning to wear them with chunky socks.
10. BASEBALL CAP
I own several baseball hats and for sure I will be wearing them again. They add a touch of sporty and casual to any outfit. My favorite ones are the New York Yankees baseball cap and the LA baseball cap.
