How to tie a belt on a coat?
It’s definitely coat season, and I wanted to share four different ways to tie a belt on a coat. These methods can work with any type of coat that has a tie belt, including trench coats. THE FRONT KNOT
An easy way to tie your belt at the front. Once you set it you can wear your coat with the same knot several times since it will be easy to adjust it.
Tying the Perfect Front Knot
Mastering the art of tying the perfect front knot on your trench coat can elevate your style and give your outfit a polished look. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you achieve that flawless knot:
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Start with the Belt: Hold the belt in front of you, ensuring the buckle is facing upwards.
- Form an “X” Shape: Cross the right end of the belt over the left end to create an “X”.
- Pass Under: Take the right end of the belt and pass it under the left end.
- Create a Loop: Bring the right end up and over the top of the knot, forming a loop.
- Thread Through: Take the left end of the belt and pass it through the loop you just created.
- Tighten the Knot: Gently pull the left end to tighten the knot.
- Adjust for Perfection: Make sure the knot is centered and even by adjusting as needed.
THE FRONT HALF BOW
This is a very cute way to knot your tie belt at the front. It works best when the tie belt is wide and bulky. The front half bow is easy to achieve and for sure your coat will look classy with the feminine touch of the half bow.

- Start with the Belt: Hold the belt in front of you, ensuring the buckle is facing upwards.
- Form an “X” Shape: Cross the right end of the belt over the left end to create an “X”.
- Fold in half: Grab one end and fold it in a half
- Pass Under: Take the other end of the belt and pass it through the loop
- Tighten the Knot: Gently pull and tight the knot.

THE BACK KNOT
The back knot is another option to style your belt when wearing your coat open. This works best when you want to wear your coat open to show your outfit and to cinch the coat at the backside to emphasize the waist. The back knot is made exactly as the front knot but at the back of the coat, aha that was obvious, lol. Here instructions of the back knot:
